The Covid pandemic has turned our lives upside down and shown us the importance of physical and mental health, more than ever. One of the best ways to destress is through yoga and spirituality. Our mompreneur, Nitasha started yoga when she was five years old. She strongly believes that y oga benefits the body and mind to maintain balance and helps us become one with our basic nature. She has also trained as a Kathak dancer and experienced the benefits of being physically flexible as well as developing tremendous patience. In 2007, Nitasha experienced something terrible which changed her world. This event turned her to Buddhism and a study of the Bhagwad Gita . These were life altering experiences for Nitasha and she started her yoga and meditation classes from 2013. She started out taking yoga classes for her mother and her friends, with a small group of 15 ladies. The benefits that her students experienced, cemented her belief that yoga was the way to ground oneself spiritually an

The Baby First Box

One fine day two friends sat discussing their pregnancy days. They talked about the moments they enjoyed and the challenges they faced. They had an age difference of 2.5 years between their kids but found that the challenges they faced were similar. For instance, they had no clue what went into the hospital bag. From there a germ of an idea started and they ended up speaking to over 250 women across the nation ranging from those who were staying in nuclear families to first time moms to moms living in tier 1 & tier 2 cities. One of the biggest questions these women had was what exactly should be packed in the hospital bag.  It is from here that these two friends decided to be a genie in the lives of countless moms and help them in packing the best for the arrival of their baby.  And that very day “The Baby First Box” was born. Their vision was that when a pregnant couple thought of packing their hospital bag they should automatically think about "The Baby First Box". The

Shweta comes from a family of manufacturers and exporters from Moradabad dealing with all metal items.  Export was always a family run business but Shweta had a keen interest in home décor. She decided to explore this interest of hers and take on the opportunity to venture into home décor. Even though she is a makeup artist by profession, working in home décor has taken off. Today, Shweta provides her products through wholesalers and suppliers to stores as well as retails through her Instagram page.                                                             One of the biggest challenges Shweta faced was the competitiveness of the market. In addition, the competitors seemed digitally savvy, something she is still learning the ropes about. It has taken her time to become socially active and to have a strong presence on social media and required learning a whole cohort of new skills.   Shweta believes that there is nothing as good as client satisfaction. Since her business started, s

Ankita Gupta- The Person Behind New Age Mompreneurs

Ankita Gupta started Mamma’s Kitchen to provide healthy and tasty baked goods to people across all ages. Being a big foodie, she’s always had an interest in cooking and baking. In pre Covid times, Ankita loved hosting parties and get-togethers and was used to cooking and baking desserts for house parties which sometimes went up to 30-40 people. Experimenting with food is her forte. She would pick a new recipe every time and tweak it, replacing the unhealthy ingredients with healthy ones. Needless to say, her guests loved her efforts and the food. When Ankita was trying to conceive, she discovered she had PCOS which was hindering the process. It was then that she switched completely from junk food to healthy cooking alternatives. When her twins were born, she followed the one year no sweet and salt rule for them but the entire family has a sweet tooth and Ankita didn't want the kids to miss out on the delights of desserts. This is where her healthy baking journey began. Ankita s
