Meenu had a career of over 13 years in global banking when she decided to take a different path and choose her passion. Following her stint with diversified banks and dealing with HNI (High Net-worth Individuals) clients Meenu realised the importance of customised gifting as a critical product in relationship management. She discovered candles to be a perfect gift; something beautiful as well as useful.

The challenges were many. Apart from the fact that setting up of the business coincided with her pregnancy, Meenu discovered starting a business from scratch involved a number of things- fixing strategies, facing failures, delay in payments, follow ups and marketing, to name just a few. Meenu feels blessed to have a very supporting family which is her backbone. With their help she came up with unique strategies to deal with the challenges. The uniqueness of her products took care of the fierce competition in the market. Social media helped her setting the right strategic platforms. She also searched and found artisans and trained them from scratch to suit the needs of her business.

Tres-Chic is the niche segment of candles and fragrances. Each and every candle is hand poured ensuring its quality and making.  The unique fragrances are shortlisted post getting reviews from connoisseurs of candles and fragrances.                       From the time she completed her fashion course at Parsons, Chitwan knew that designer clothing was the line she wanted to get into. She started with womenswear in 2011 and then ventured into menswear in 2016. Whenever Chitwan visited the fabric markets for men’s fabrics, she would find herself staring at the cute kids’ fabrics and would wish that she could do something in that line. She would pick up fabrics for her son’s nightwear and shirts and they turned out really well; every time he wore them, her family would encourage her to consider venturing into this as a side business and gauge the response. Chitwan began small in 2020 and then there was no looking back. This isn’t a side business anymore. Chitwan is extremely passionate about it and doing kids' wear in particular makes her extremely happy.
