Bhaatkhande Sangit Vidyalaya was established by Deepa’s grandfather. Her father continued the legacy by putting in immense hard work and dedication to bring the institute to where it stands today. Deepa and her sisters, Pooja and Neetu, are the 3 rd generation taking forward this lineage and they consider themselves lucky to have been blessed with the responsibility of this legacy. Bhaatkhande Sangit Vidyalaya was established in 1939 in Rangoon, Burma. After the second World War, the institute found itself handicapped in its functioning. It left behind a skeleton in Burma and made a fresh start in Delhi. The management rented out premises in different schools to establish a firm footing. Finally in the 1980’s, the Government allotted some land to the institute.
