The lockdown in 2020 brought about the need to engage children at home productively. When Neha started researching online activity classes, she found that she had to visit multiple websites for each activity. Each sport/activity/interest had several different centres or institutions, making it tough to get the requisite information in a concise manner. It was here that Neha got the idea to create a platform which would serve as a one stop shop for parents looking at activity and learning classes for their children. And thus, TASK was born.

Since Neha’s focus was on FUN and not academic curriculum, she thought the name TASK was appropriate. The platform provides a means to let children unleash their energy and discover their potential through a variety of “tasks” in the form of activity classes. It also implies activities which are after school and therefore away from the rigors of academics. Neha also wanted TASK to be a way for moms to get a break while their children were productively involved in activities.

The biggest challenge Neha has faced has been to sell the "pay per class" model. This enables parents to pick any one class for their child to attend instead of paying for the entire program without knowing if their child will like it. This was a unique concept and like anything new, it took time for parents to familiarize themselves with it and accept it.

Neha is a national level Roller Blade Skating Champion as well as a trained Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Jazz dancer. She never misses an opportunity to choreograph and participate in dance performances at social events. She has even run a dance group in college at New York. During her corporate work days, Neha has trained over 200 employees on Airport Services and Familiarization and has a natural flair for leadership.  Neha also loves to travel and has a love for learning languages. She has a basic knowledge of Japanese, Spanish & French.

She has an eight-year-old daughter who was the inspiration behind TASK.

                     Anu had always been inclined towards sketching, drawing and painting since her childhood while her mother was inclined towards clothes and fashion. So, it was no surprise when Anu ended up taking fashion design as a subject in 11 th grade. Anu always had a lot of questions in her mind. What was she here? What was the purpose of her life?                       From the time she completed her fashion course at Parsons, Chitwan knew that designer clothing was the line she wanted to get into. She started with womenswear in 2011 and then ventured into menswear in 2016. Whenever Chitwan visited the fabric markets for men’s fabrics, she would find herself staring at the cute kids’ fabrics and would wish that she could do something in that line. She would pick up fabrics for her son’s nightwear and shirts and they turned out really well; every time he wore them, her family would encourage her to consider venturing into this as a side business and gauge the response. Chitwan began small in 2020 and then there was no looking back. This isn’t a side business anymore. Chitwan is extremely passionate about it and doing kids' wear in particular makes her extremely happy. Moreover, she has discovered a staunch support system in the form of her mommy clients. It helps that Chitwan considers entrepreneurship to be in her blood.
