Neha Gandhi & Let’s Get Craftie
Neha
is a design
student with a specialization in interior design. Aspects of creating and
designing have always interested her. When Neha’s twin girls were a little
older, she discovered that she not only had time to explore her interests but
also the importance of non-screen time activities for kids. This required her
to think out of the box and come up with creative activities which would engage
kids and hold their interest. It helped that her kids loved all activities
related to art and craft. This became the passion and the starting point behind
Neha’s venture.
She decided to launch DIY (do-it-yourself) kits
which could be customised according to occasions and people. She also explored
the idea of party boxes which catered to her love for creating handcrafted décor,
with the additional dimension of customizing these. Neha talks with her clients
extensively to understand what their needs are and then comes up with ideas
which match the same. This is what has made her kits so popular.
One of the major challenges she faced was reaching out to people and getting them to understand exactly what she was offering. She came up with the name Let’s Get Craftie because it reflected what she was aiming to do. With patience, word of mouth feedback and the help of social media, Neha has managed to build up a niche for herself. Her clients testify to the quality of her products as well as the care and effort that goes into making them. Her twin daughters, who are now seven years old, help and support her and are great sounding and testing board for new ideas.
