Tanvi began exploring DIY activities and sensory play when her son was 2.5 years old (he is 6.5 now). She started blogging on Instagram and lot of her mom friends asked her to start doing activities with their kids as well. So, Tanvi began taking sensory play classes for children. The classes became a big hit and Tanvi started posting on Instagram regularly. Soon, she began receiving requests from moms outside Delhi to send them the activities as well and that is how Tanvi came up with the idea of a sensory play box business. During the pandemic the business was a huge hit since almost all moms were looking at options to keep their children meaningfully engaged while they were stuck at home.

Being a mompreneur was not something Tanvi consciously decided on but it came to her through this incredible journey. Her friends and other moms have been immensely supporting and encouraged her to pursue this line. Every time Tanvi gets an order for a box, it cements her belief that she is going in the right direction.

Besides sensory play boxes, Tanvi also designs themed game cards for baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions. Her work has mainly been through word of mouth and in the last four years she has designed for over 100 occasions.

Besides being a mom to two kids and managing their daily schedules, handling the house duties as well as going through a tough phase during the pandemic; the main challenge vis-à-vis the business was marketing. Tanvi familiarised herself with various modes of social media and how to best use them to market her business.

Tanvi’s Instagram page handle is called @lilexplorersbytanvi because it’s all about little kids learning through exploration in sensory play. Tanvi chose the brand name “Little Explorers by Tanvi” to convey this.

Tanvi is a crafter at heart and loves doing a lot of DIYs as well as coming up with innovative activities for kids.

                     Anu had always been inclined towards sketching, drawing and painting since her childhood while her mother was inclined towards clothes and fashion.                       From the time she completed her fashion course at Parsons, Chitwan knew that designer clothing was the line she wanted to get into. She started with womenswear in 2011 and then ventured into menswear in 2016. Whenever Chitwan visited the fabric markets for men’s fabrics, she would find herself staring at the cute kids’ fabrics and would wish that she could do something in that line. She would pick up fabrics for her son’s nightwear and shirts and they turned out really well; every time he wore them, her family would encourage her to consider venturing into this as a side business and gauge the response. Chitwan began small in 2020 and then there was no looking back. This isn’t a side business anymore. Chitwan is extremely passionate about it and doing kids' wear in particular makes her extremely happy. Moreover, she has discovered a staunch support system in the form of her mommy clients. It helps that Chitwan considers entrepreneurship to be in her blood.
