Aarti Natarajan Sharma- Education Consultant & Blogger
Aarti has over 19 years’ experience in the Overseas education
sector. She has worked with leading organizations like IDP Education, Study
Overseas and The University of Warwick India Office. When her daughter was two
years old, Aarti decided to quit full time work and start working from home.
She started getting clients through word of mouth and work picked up.
Over the years, Aarti has diversified her work profile and
now works as a freelancer for a number of organizations, dealing with research
work, writing assignments and counselling. One of her main roles is as
Education Consultant for Connect2Counsellors, an organization which deals with
UK universities and has a select number of highly trained counsellors on board.
Writing has always been Aarti’s forte and she has completed a
double Masters in English Literature and Mass Communication. She has also written
blogs on a variety of topics but this was never her main focus.
In June 2020, Aarti’s two-year-old son Aarav was diagnosed
with a spinal hematoma which required an emergency spinal surgery. The
complications after surgery resulted in Aarav’s lungs collapsing and a
subsequent stay in the PICU (Paediatric ICU) for 36 days. It was during those
bleak days sitting by Aarav’s bedside that Aarti started blogging in earnest.
Her writings became her way of venting and the blogs resonated with mothers the
world over.
Aarav is now home but has limited sensation waist downwards,
requiring physiotherapy daily. Aarti decided to
convert her personal Instagram into a professional one, with her blogs and
education counselling experience combined. She continues to counsel students as
well as writing blogs on varied topics.
