Monica Agarwal & Jewellery Redesigning

   


Monica has been working in the field of jewellery restyling since over 10 years. As she witnessed trends changing rapidly, she felt that there was a need to keep redesigning precious jewellery which is often just lying unworn because it is considered out-of-fashion. Monica started experimenting with taking old jewellery and changing it into something modern.  

Monica specialises in creating and re-designing pieces to get a trendier look which at the same time isn’t too expensive. What she loves about this sector is the satisfaction her clients get from seeing and using their old jewellery.

Monica started out by spreading the word amongst her close network of family and friends and orders began coming in. In order to keep up with the latest trends Monica has also pursued a special diamond grading course.

One of her main challenges was finding craftsmen who understood her vision and had the skills to carry it out. She personally met with each craftsman to determine their suitability. The efforts are reflected in her work.

Monica loves everything related to designing from jewellery to interiors of a home. She has two grown up children which allows her to devote time to her passion.

                      From the time she completed her fashion course at Parsons, Chitwan knew that designer clothing was the line she wanted to get into. She started with womenswear in 2011 and then ventured into menswear in 2016. Whenever Chitwan visited the fabric markets for men’s fabrics, she would find herself staring at the cute kids’ fabrics and would wish that she could do something in that line. She would pick up fabrics for her son’s nightwear and shirts and they turned out really well; every time he wore them, her family would encourage her to consider venturing into this as a side business and gauge the response. Anu Jain & Meraki by a.n.s.

                     Anu had always been inclined towards sketching, drawing and painting since her childhood while her mother was inclined towards clothes and fashion. So, it was no surprise when Anu ended up taking fashion design as a subject in 11 th grade. Anu always had a lot of questions in her mind. What was she here? What was the purpose of her life? What could she do which would be different from the norm? She had a deep desire to prove something to herself. After completing her graduation, Anu took admission in Pearl Academy of Fashion for a one-year postgraduate course in Fashion Merchandising.
